This stunning necklace is a representation of the Choshen Mishpat, the Jewish High Priest’s breastplate from the days of Jerusalem’s Holy Temple, as mentioned in the Bible. It features 12 genuine gemstones as they appeared on the Choshen, one for each tribe of Israel, including a real diamond. A beautiful piece of contemporary Jewish jewelry steeped in traditional allure.

The Hoshen Mishpat was the breastplate worn by the Jewish High Priest in the days of Jerusalem’s Holy Temple. There were 12 precious stones on the Hoshen, as mentioned in Book of Exodus (28:15-30), representing the twelve tribes of Israel: Ruby, Garnet, Citrine, Blue Topaz, Topaz, Sapphire, Peridot, Onyx, Emerald, Diamond, Amethyst, Aquamarine. Today, the elegant design of the Hoshen makes a beautiful decorative motif throughout Jewish art and jewelry.
