Along its collar is written in elegant lettering the Hebrew blessing said when adorning the tallit, reading: Barukh atah Adonai, Eloheinu, melekh ha’olam asher kidishanu b’mitz’votav v’tzivanu l’hit’ateif ba-tzitzit – Blessed are you, Lord, our God, sovereign of the universe Who has sanctified us with His commandments and commanded us to wrap ourselves in the tzitzit.
